At the end of November we had a pretty heavy snowfall here in London. C-bear had woken up at 6am and I'd fed him and put him in bed with me for another hour of sleep. Tom had gone to work, so Charlie took over his side of the bed. I woke up at 8.30am - yes an hour and a half after we normally get up - to find C still sound asleep next to me. I slept until 9am then had to get up and that's when I saw the snow. It had come over night and was beautiful. I couldn't wait to show my baby his first snow! I don't know whether it was the extra silence that comes with a snowfall or the snuggly warm heat of the house, but my little man, who is usually up and at 'em by 7am stayed fast asleep until 10.30 - unheard of! There was no sound on the baby monitor but when I went into him he was wide awake and watching the snowflakes fall though the partially opened curtains.
He wasn't exactly excited by the snow, just curious. We watched the flakes falling and opened the window and felt the cold. After we were up I got out the buggy and took him to the park. We made it about 10 metres in before I decided that it was really too snowy. So we got a few photos and then using the buggy as a snowplow plodded back home.
